After the pandemic, remote and hybrid working has become the new normal for companies across all industries. Ensuring the physical, emotional, social, mental, and holistic well-being of the employees is crucial for organisations for maintaining a healthy work culture and happy workplace. Phasing stages of expansion across the nation is crucial for meeting the skilled workforce demand while creating equitable opportunities in the coming years.
Several tech companies are aiming for a strong pan-India presence and are expanding their footsteps in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities such as Jaipur, Hyderabad, Indore, Tiruchirappalli, Coimbatore, Indore, Kochi, and others.
Suresh Kumar Chitralayam, Director of People and Operations at Vuram, said: “Vuram is looking forward to Tier 2 cities as we are expanding across India. As a result, we have had our office functional from Tiruchirappalli since 2018. In 2022, we are adding three new offices in India and one in the United Kingdom. Apart from our offices in Chennai, Bengaluru, and Tiruchirappalli, we will expand to Coimbatore, Jaipur, and Hyderabad in 2022.”
Over 60 per cent of Vuram’s workforce is from rural areas. Hence offices in Tier 2 cities help the people in the organisation to work closer to their homes and enjoy aspects of congestion-free life. Furthermore, the People Team at Vuram cites more reasons to look forward to expanding into Tier 2 cities, including increased job satisfaction, enhanced quality of life, and supporting the local economy indirectly.
