Rubrik, the Zero Trust Data Security Company, introduced a $10 million Ransomware Recovery Warranty, a first-of-its-kind in the industry for qualified customers in India. This warranty reinforces Rubrik's commitment to customer business resilience, ensuring rapid recovery and restoration of critical operations in the event of a ransomware attack. Bipul Sinha, co-founder & CEO, emphasised the challenge of eliminating the risk of ransomware due to the ever-growing sophistication of cybercrime, urging organizations to remain vigilant and prepared.
Ransomware attacks have become a substantial threat, reaching an estimated $8.4 trillion globally. According to the Rubrik Zero Labs State of Data Security report, over half of the 1,600 surveyed IT and security leaders experienced ransomware attacks in the past year. In India, 26 per cent of respondents reported over 100 attempted cyber attacks on their organisations within the last year, resulting in 51 per cent of companies losing customers due to such attacks.
