The Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCCI) on Wednesday said the Union Budget was balanced for traders ranging from micro, small and medium class to upper class businessmen and industrialists.
CCCI President Amar Parwani, General Secretary Ajay Bhasin and Treasurer Uttam Golchha said the budget was a blueprint for inclusive development.
They welcomed the hike in income tax exemption up to Rs 7 lakhs but said relief was needed in diesel, petrol and gas prices.
But they said nothing concrete was announced with regarding simplification and rationalization of the GST tax structure. The budget is also silent on action against the arbitrary conduct of foreign companies in e-commerce.
Parwani said major provisions for infrastructure will act as a base pillar for the development of trade and industry sector. The One District One Product scheme will help local products get recognized at the national level.
He said many schemes of Chhattisgarh have found a place in the Budget. They are a millet scheme, a Rural Industrial Park (RIPA) scheme and the Godhan Nyaya Yojana in the name of Godhan-based start-up.
