Chhatarpur Collector holds camp

In a first in Madhya Pradesh, the collector of Chhatarpur district has taken the initiative of granting compassionate appointments to the dependents of the deceased employees by holding camps.

The camp has been held on the collectorate campus in which the collector of the district, Sandeep G R himself has taken part along with the officials of concerned departments. Disposing of the pending cases, the collector has granted compassionate appointments to the eligible applicants on the spot on a priority basis.

"The initiative of holding the camps at the collectorate has been taken to dispose of pending cases compassionate appointments and to grant the appointments to the eligible applicants easily and early.  So that they do not wander door-to-door for so and can get appointments at a single place", collector of Chhatarpur Sandeep G R told The Pioneer. He also said that the camps will be organised further to dispose of the pendency on the basis of available vacancies in various departments of the district.

The idea has been taken by the collector of Chhatarpur after the state government gave directions to all the principal secretaries of all departments and all the district collectors to dispose of the pending cases of all kinds of appointments. 

During the camp, a total of seven cases have been disposed of. Out of them, three eligible applicants have been given appointment letters on the spot by the collector and four other cases have been recommended to the appointing authority.

Collector Sandeep has given instructions to all the heads of all departments of the district to dispose of the pending cases of compassionate appointments on a positive basis and give the appointment letters to the eligible applicants according to the rules if they have the necessary documents.

The collector also directed the officials to provide written information to the applicants if they are ineligible or have no required papers. The collector has also appointed ADM Om Namah Shivay Arjariya as a nodal officer for this purpose.

Anju Sharma, Aniruddh Tripathi and Dhananjay Singh have been given appointment letters on the spot and the proposals of other four applicants have been sent to the appointing authority.
