Fourteen new Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) with all safety provisions were on Friday inducted in the cavalcade of Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.
Baghel has opted for black colour vehicles bearing registration number 0023.
The old vehicle which Baghel used extensively for election campaign in 2018 as PCC chief had also the same '23' registration number.
The year 2023 is the election year. So, new vehicles have replaced the old ones, informed sources said.
Earlier, on Friday morning, Baghel performed religious rituals and started his official tours in the new vehicles amid chanting of mantras.
Official sources said the existing vehicles were five years old and had covered more than 1.30 lakh km, leading to their replacement.
