Artistic products made from cow dung by a women self-help group of Gokul Nagar Gothan in Raipur is making a mark in the market.
The members are making meaningful and artistic products using cow dung.
Neelam Agarwal, president of the self-help group with 13 members, said the Gauthan has more than 400 cows. Around 3,000 kg of dung is generated every day. Around 30 types of products are made here.
Products like pots, incense, havan material, manure, gulal, idols, pots and tiles are made. The innovative products are cow dung slippers, suitcases, watches and paintings, an official communication said on Sunday.
Gauthans earn up to Rs 30 lakhs annually from the sale of the products.
