Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Thursday approved 50 percent exemption in road tax on all types of vehicles bought at an auto expo here.
The Raipur Automobile Dealers Association (RADA) had raised the demand for exemption to vehicles purchased during Auto Expo-2023, generally held every March in Raipur.
Based on the demand, Baghel approved the 50 percent exemption in road tax on all types of vehicles, an official communication said.
RADA President Vivek Garg welcomed the decision.
He said the customer will get the benefit of 4 percent in two wheelers and 4.5-5 percent in four wheelers on the value of the vehicles.
