Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday said the fourth installment of the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana will be released to farmers by March 25.
He was addressing the general convention and oath-taking ceremony of Kosariya Marar (Patel) Samaj in village Karp in Kanker district.
He said development work was being undertaken in the district after foundation stone laying for 95 different works at a cost of Rs 143.92 crore.
He said schools and colleges including medical colleges have been opened. The first hostel for Other Backward Class (OBC) in the state was opened in Knaker having 50 seats for girls. Work was in progress for opening more such hostels in division headquarters and bigger districts.
He said the state government has announced it will conduct an economic survey from April 1. The survey will be based on three points: housing, Ujjwala gas connection and toilets. It would help to identify the needy beneficiaries.
Baghel pledged Rs 50 lakh for the construction of a community building in Kanker to Kosariya Marar Samaj.
