The global body of NOBA (Netarhat Old Boys Association) carries the banner of Netarhat and its value system through NOBA GSR (Global Social Responsibility). Notably this body aims to carry out various types of social work across the world under multiple dedicated wings. These wings will have several initiatives as per the needs of society, in their respective dedicated areas, such as health, education etc. In the same episode initiative has been designed and developed for the convenient availability of sanitary pads for girl students in Bokaro Schools.
NOBA GSR inaugurated sanitary pad vending machine (with Insinerator) in various schools under the tag line “When Sangini is with you, then why worry about periods” the schools echoed with the voices of girls reiterating the tagline enthusiastically and why not as their worries are over now as Periods will no longer be a hindrance for them and that too at a very nominal cost. Bokaro NOBA Coordinator Avinash Kumar Jha (DGM, BSL) phrased entire event being Netrahat Alumni “These initiatives are only the result of our Netarhat’s glorious tradition which bind us to our values, ethics, and work”
At (Bokaro Ispat Sr Secondary School) BISSS-2C campus formal inauguration with launch of sanitary pad vending machine was concluded by cutting ribbons in the presence of Regional Manager of SBI Kaushik Kumar, NOBA Coordinator Avinash Kumar Jha, Meenum Mishra BSL(GM/Education) and NOBA members Vashistha Narayan Singh( Ex-GM/BSL), GN Shahoo, Ex-Director (M&HS) and SN Jha Ex-DGM . Notably this machine is also installed at BISSS 8B, Bokaro Steel Balika Vidyalaya-9B , Bokaro Ispat Kalyan Vidyalaya-Sector 3D and Mithila Academy Public School Sector4,B . During the launch GM/BSL Meenum Mishra said that with this launch there would be significant increase the attendance of girls in schools.
Further DGM Avinash Jha said that this initiative started by NOBA GSR is a commendable work. This initiative will help a lot of the girl students studying during periods . Also under the joint aegis of NOBA GSR's 'Sangini' campaign this sanitary pads are available in the state of Bihar and Jharkhand in about 400 villages. DGM BSL Jha while thanking all in making the event successful specially thanked SBI Bank who contributed a lot in this event and members of NOBA (GSR) OP Chaudhary , Vikas Ranjan and Rama Niwas for their efforts in giving “Sangini” a new height .
Finally Members of NOBA, thanking everyone, said this kind of initiative will help us to reach the needy in all possible fields and provide them with a path to flourish and grow together.
