Ltd., the fifth-largest cement group in India and leading cement player in East India, in terms of capacity, has achieved yet another milestone in its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR). The company is pleased to announce that it has been honored with the prestigious "Best CSR Impact Award" at the 8th Edition Corporate Social Responsibility Summit and Awards, hosted by UBS Forums on September 14, 2023, in New Delhi.
The accolade was bestowed for Nuvoco’s outstanding contribution to society through Project TARA - Technology Aided Resources at Anganwadis, which was nominated in the Swasth Bharat - Best CSR Impact Category. This transformative initiative was designed with the goal of enhancing the quality of health and child development services offered by Anganwadis, which serve as pivotal community centers in rural India.
Project TARA has had a profound impact on the communities it serves, with more than 1,200 women and 2,000 adolescent girls benefiting from its various interventions. The project's success can be attributed to its multifaceted approach, which includes the provision of advanced technological resources, training and capacity building for Anganwadi workers, and community outreach programs.
