Odisha’s first blind parasailer feted

A complete blind by birth who created history by parasailing above 330 feet from the sea surface was felicitated by Prajapita Brahama Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya here.
 
In a special programme, organised at the Forest Park branch of Prajapita Brahma Kumaris, Bapina Nayak, the blind parasailer, was honoured with shawl, bouquet and trophy in the presence of special guests including  Rajyogini Brahma Kumari sister Leena, social  activist Santoshi Jain, member of Lokayukta Dr Debabrata Swain, secretary, Odisha Lalit Kala Academy, Panchanan Samal, sand artist Subala  Maharana and blind sports coach Trilochan Beura.
 
Bapina briefed about his struggle of life being born blind which made the audience eyes’ moist. He appealed to individual philanthropists and organisations to support the blind like him to make their dream come true.
