Azan, Quran reading competition on June 1

Arif Masood Fans Club of the State capital would organise for the third successive year completion of Azan and Quran reading on June 1, at the historical Iqbal Maidan of the State capital. The grand programme would be presided by the noted cleric of country Peer Saeed Miyan.

Qazi Azmat Shah Makki and Abdul Nafees of the fans club while talking to the media persons here on Monday informed that the aim of organising this event is that the Azan and Quran reading of all should become correct so that in the coming times when the Azan is said it should be correct and attract the Muslims towards the mosques.

Makki said that Azan is the invitation towards the house of Allah and the voice of person saying Azan should also be such that the listeners should accept the invitation immediately and start moving towards the mosque.

Nafees said that the Azan competition has been divided into two categories, in one category there would be children up to 14 years while the other category would have youth from 15 to 20 years of age while in the Quran reading competition there is only one category in which children up to the age of 14 could take part.

Children aspiring to take part in the competition need to visit the fans club office in Shahjehanabad from May 15 to 23 to get the registration form, information for participation could also be taken from the mobile numbers 9425009830, 9425004616 and 9425009820.
