The syndicate of Vinoba Bhave University met on Saturday under the chairmanship of VC RN Bhagat. It approved almost all the decisions of different bodies and committees of the university, made some modifications approved by the academic council, affiliation, examination and finance committee.
The press were eyeing on approval of finance committee’s decision of giving DAVP rate of the advertisements. Though some members tried to rectify the decision but finally the syndicate approved it. It approved the evaluation centre at Dhanbad. The proposal to give salary benefit to promoted fourth grade staff was deferred and now HRD will consider it.
Members made some committees for the promotion of teachers, rectifying new research guidelines, implement DST directions in UCET and to increase salaries of contractual staff. It also approved the proposal to appoint some retirees on contractual basis.
