Wednesday, 30 April 2014 | Sana Riyaz | Bhopal

The concept is what makes Gangs of Hasseepur a different and a unique comedy show ever made on television," says comedian Suresh Menon.

One of the best comedians of the television and Bollywood industry Suresh Menon is all set with his another stand-up comedy show Gangs Of Hasseepur. Well-known for his comedy acts in Comedy Circus, The Great Indian Comedy Show, Suresh Menon has also entertained the audience with his outstanding performances in Bollywood films.Menon has always given unusual performances and has chosen characters who are different from one another. The character that he plays in Gangs of Hasseepur, Hardam Swami, is also another funny character that he'll be presenting before the Indian audience.

While sharing his experiences and excitement about the show and his character Hardam Swami in a rendezvous with The Pioneer, Menon says, "Gangs of Hasseepur is unique in itself as it not only has the stand-up comedy, but it also deals with the current issues." Elaborating further, he said, "No one till now must have interviewed NaMo or MMS (duplicates of course) as politics is the hot topic of the season or have discussed stupid issues like why Neel Nitin Mukesh has three names in this era or why Salman's relationship status is complicated. So these things will make  Gangs of Hasseepur a unique show."

Talking about his character Hardam Swami, he says laughingly, "Hardam Swami is a frustrated television reporter who raises such issues and asks his guests about it in a humorous manner." He also says, "I have not imitated any news reporter. This is an originally created character and I feel really excited playing it." "Suresh Menon is a person who began his career from television and then moved to Bollywood. So love for the small screen will never get dimmed in my heart and I will always look forward to do shows on small screen," he added smilingly.

Menon also commented over the chemistry with his co-stars in the show. He says, "Chemistry with my team on set is wonderful and it's a normal chemistry of course (laughingly). I enjoy with them." Commenting over Comedy Nights with Kapil he said, "Kapil and I have worked together in Comedy Nights so I know him well.Talking about this show, well, each and every actor gives his or her best and if I talk about other comedians like Bharti or Raju they are also doing a wonderful job. This show has varied characters to make everyone laugh at something or other and that is why this show stands apart from other comedy shows."
