Chief Secretary Anthony DeSa has congratulated officers and employees of Woman and Child Development Department (WCDD) on being conferred National Award in New Delhi recently. He hoped that more effective work for women’s empowerment will be done in Madhya Pradesh following this morale boosting award.

ladli laxmi Yojana run of Directorate of Women’s Empowerment has received national level recognition. SKOCH Development Foundation has conferred ‘SKOCH Platinum Award’ to e-ladli, a scheme which lays foundation of better and bright future of girls.

Besides, the foundation has also conferred ‘SKOCH Order of Merit Award’ to Anmol Yojana adjudging it as an excellent initiative for good governance. Women’s welfare schemes have got a boost with the award.

It is noteworthy that ladli laxmi Yojana was launched in year 2007 to create spirit of respect towards women and girls and develop a positive mindset in society apart from economic empowerment of girls. Women and Child Development Department had launched website ‘http://www.ladlilaxmi.com’ for effective implementation of the scheme, apprising people about its benefits and for convenience of beneficiaries.

Through the website, parents in remote areas can avail benefit of the scheme by examining eligibility of their daughter. So far, 18 lakh girls have been benefited under the scheme. Documentation and tracking of such a huge number of beneficiaries are being done through the website.

For ensuring transparent process of adopting unclaimed and destitute children, Women and Child Development department has developed website http://adoptionmp.in/.  It has been named Anmol. Process of adopting children has been made easy by developing Anmol website. Anyone can get registered for adopting child on this website from anywhere in the country. With this, Madhya Pradesh has become a pioneer State in ensuring online process for adoption of children.

The website contains lists of registered parents and available children. This has not only made adoption process transparent, but has also led to compliance with government rules and laws.

DeSa has complimented officers and employees of the department and Commissioner Woman’s Development Kalpana Shrivastava for giving a concrete shape to above mentioned schemes of the State Government.
