Ex-DGP to move in Palamu with lotus symbol

Sunday, 16 March 2014 | PNS | DALTONGANJ

Fomer DGP Jharkhand VD Ram is now a BJP man as he will contest from Palamu lok Sabha seat this election. His  brother-in-law Radha Raman Kishore, who is an associate professor in the Nilamber Pitamber university, said the family is looking for a suitable accommodation for VD Ram from where he can run his poll campaign.

Ram had told The Pioneer that it will be difficult for him to run the poll office and campaign from his in-laws' house which is in Nayee Mohalla in Daltonganj. It is a mere coincidence that the in-laws' house of the national president of the BJP, Rajnath Singh, is also in the Belwatiker mohalla in Daltonganj and the two mohalllas are close to each other. This former top cop has made the use of every single day  since joining the BJP in the year 2013. Ram went to frequent tours for the lok Sabha segments in Palamu and Garhwa. Palamu’s four assembly constituencies and Garhwa’s two assembly constituencies constitute the Palamu lok Sabha seat’s territory. If the Ex DGP has his strength, he has his hiccups too where poaching of the BJP voters is a very common ailment since long, party members said. Sources said winning upper caste votes will be a tough task for V D Ram here. In Palamu, upper caste votes mean much. The State BJP has now a great stake here in Palamu which had its MP in Ramdeo Ram ( 1991) and Brajmohan Ram ( 1996 to 1999) from Palamu.
