Many devotees undertook fast and visited temples to offer milk, honey, ghee, water and bel leaves on Shiv lings. While devotional songs were played on music systems around temples and other places, a steady stream of visitors could be seen at temples like the Tapkeshwar Mahadev temple. Apart from offering their prayers at the shrines, many of the devotees could be seen enjoying various food items made from bhang.
