Accusing the BJP of either withdrawing the schemes launched for benefit of the poor by previous Governments or pushing it under the carpets, BSP supremo Mayawati on Saturday raised question over the benefits to the poor through the much publicised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yogana’ scheme.
“I don’t think the poor would be benefited by such schemes. Everyone knows from where the poor would put money on their accounts while how they would get the Rs 1 lakh insurance benefit,” questioned BSP supremo. She said people know how Insurance companies treat the people when they claim the money.
