Two persons hailing from West Bengal were nabbed with fake currency notes of Rs2.70 lakh in the denomination of Rs1,000, by crime branch Bhopal. While speaking to mediapersons, DIG Bhopal Srinivasa Varma said Sujeet Singh (22) and Gousul Azeem  Ali (42) of West Bengal were nabbed from parking of platform number 6 of Bhopal railway station and when their bags were searched, fake notes of Rs2.70 lakh were recovered.

Sujeet Singh is a resident of Malda in West Bengal and used to work as cleaner in truck. His friends Mantu Sheikh deals in circulating fake notes and used to bring the fake notes from Bangladesh. Surjeet and Mansoor were assigned to deliver the fake notes and were told that they would be paid Rs4,000 for work and they have delivered fake notes of Rs2 lakh in Bhopal to Zahur Khan around six months ago.

Ali is a resident of Birbhum in West Bengal and works as agriculture labourer and his friend Sujeet and Mantu Sheikh were involved in circulating fake notes. A case under section 489 B and 489 C of the IPC was registered by the police. With the arrest of the two persons in past three months, a total of eight persons involved in circulation of fake notes have been arrested so far and fake notes of Rs10.33 lakh have been recovered.

Rizwan Ahmed (Bhopal), Khursheed Alam (Bihar), Gaisul Alam (Nepal), Jawwad Alam( Nepal), Zahur Khan (Sehore) and Shoaib Khan (Sehore) were nabbed earlier.
