At a meeting held here on Sunday, Jharsuguda Congress MlA Naba Kishore Das laid foundation-stone for a connecting road from Bandharpada to the Jharsuguda Stadium. A fund of 1.96 crore has been earmarked for the road project to be spent in two phases.
Das also laid foundation stone for construction of Chandrapur-Nachendihi Road at a cost of 98 lakh and another road from Bhatalpada to Kanpur at a cost of 1.32 crore.
Das said more stress would be given for solving agriculture and irrigation problems in his constituency in the coming days. The MlA said he would take up the doctor shortage issue with the State Government soon.
Many senior Congress leaders like Jagannath Jena, Sidharth Sarakari, Pintu Padhi, Babul Singh and Pratap Nanda were present.
