Pauri dist SP orders to solve pending crime cases soon

The Pauri district superintendent of police Rajeev Swaroop has instructed the police to solve pending crime cases at the earliest and ensure that all the absconding accused are arrested. The SP said this chairing a meeting to monitor crime here on Sunday. Prior to chairing the crime meeting the SP heard the problems of the police personnel at a departmental seminar and issued directions for the swift redressal of these problems.

Chairing the crime review meet, the SP remarked that many crimes cases are pending in different circles of the district for months. He directed the circle officers and in charge of the police station of Pauri, Kotdwar and Srinagar police circle to clear the backlog without further delay. Stating that enforcement of traffic regulations has been enhanced since November 1, he directed the police personal to take strict action driving two wheeler riders without helmet, triple riding, speeding and rash driving among other violations. Considering the increased possibility of thefts in the winter season, the SP also directed that police patrolling be increased during the night time. The police should be especially alert for tackling the menace of drunken driver, speeding and vehicles carrying more than the permitted capacity of passengers, stressed the district SP. Those who were present in the crime review meeting included the Kotdwar circle officer, SHOs of all police stations and Kotwali in the District and other police personnel among others.
