The association of contractual workers of RMSA have resorted to all sort of gimmicks to highlight their agitation. Interestingly all these workers while entering into the contract had endorsed a statement which states that the contract can be terminated anytime.
The State Government did not renew their contracts when the Union Government stopped funding their salaries. “If they feel that they can pressurise the Government by scaling the water tanks or towers and get jobs, then the Government should not bow before them as it would set a wrong precedence,” said one of a onlookers at pavilion ground.
