State Health Minister Surendra Singh Negi has asked department officials to grant one time exemption to the doctors in the Dynamic Assured Career Progression (DACP) scheme. He issued this instruction at a review meeting of the department on Monday.
The State Government had implemented the DACP last month but had inserted a provision of minimum service in mountainous areas as criteria in every level of promotion. Stating that Asha help desks should be operational in all district hospitals, Negi directed the health services joint director to ensure daily update on the pharmacists’ appointment process.
He said screening camps should be organised across the State from September 1, while directing officials to prepare a route chart for these camps. Appointment procedure should be executed without delay for dental doctors in the health service.
The Minister said that one cardio unit each should be set up at Kotdwar and Kashipur. Reviewing dengue status, the minister expressed concern at the increase in number of cases in the state capital.
