Governor Ram Naik remembered his old days in the Parliament with late Janeshwar Mishra and said that the former leader speak fluently during any debate and always successfully convey his feelings.
Remembering Janeshwar Mishra on his 84th birth anniversary here at Janeshwar Mishra Park on Friday morning, Naik said that he was few months younger than Mishra but he learnt a lot from the former leader. Naik was speaking soon after paying floaral tribute on Janeshwar Mishra. He also claimed that during those days, health debates took place in Parliament and everyone is concerned about problem of common man and never thought on Party lines.
Naik said that despite of they both never remained on same side of Parliament, while Mishra was in power, he was sitting in opposition and later when he came to power, Mishra went to Opposition but still they both had very good relations. He said that it was also happy coincident that they both some or the other time remained petroleum or railway ministers in the respective governments.
In presence of chief minister Akhilesh Yadav and other senior leaders of the State government here on Friday, Naik admitted that during their chat in Central Hall, he and even former PM Atal Bihari Bajpayee used to call Mulayam Singh Yadav as `Netaji’ and Janeshwar Mishra as `Chotte lohia’.
