Rexel India concludes amalgamation of Yantra Automation, AD Electronics

Rexel India Pvt ltd announced the amalgamation of two distributors of Rockwell Automation namely Yantra Automation Pvt ltd and AD Electronics Pvt ltd with Rexel  India Private limited, making it the no 1 electrical & technical automation distributor in India. Rexel India is largest technical automation distributor in country today with sales exceeding 210 crores, presence in 16 states, 25 locations, 240 employees and 10 stocking points.

Commenting on this, Vikas Garg, managing director, Rexel  India Pvt ltd said, “With this amalgamation concluded, REXEl  will be able to serve a large base of customers much better and will also improve the professional distribution of Electrical and Automation supplies across vast geography of India. We have been growing at a CAGR of 22% last 4-5 years and we are hoping to reach a turnover of Rs500 crores by 2018.”

Rexel  India Pvt ltd acquired Yantra Automation and AD electronics in 2011 as JV partner with 74% stake and thereafter as per the agreement bought out the balance 26% from owners in the next 3 years’ time. Yantra Automation Pvt ltd and AD Electronics Pvt ltd with Rexel India Private limited, both the companies, both companies became 100% REXEl subsidiaries effective April 1, 2014. In the last year, Rexel completed by backend integration on ERP, common Email IDs, Branding etc completed some approvals from the High Court for legal merger as they both were separate legal entities.
