Tata Power’s lakshya, Achievers, and Tejas Quality Control Teams from Jojobera Division, participated in the National Convention for Quality Concepts 2015 supplementary programme, held from February 6 to 8 in Chennai. All the three participating teams showed exemplary performance and won awards in the PAR Excellence and Excellence categories, for the case studies submitted by them.
A total of 135 teams participated in NCQC supplementary programme whose theme was “Make in India – A Vision through Quality Concepts”. The event witnessed representatives from Tata Power, Naval Dockyard, Vizag steel plant, SAIl- Durgapur, NTPC- Unchahar, BHEl-Trichi amongst many others. The entries were judged on the basis of their performance in the case study presentation and knowledge tests. The QC teams were greatly appreciated for their exceptional problem solving skills and contribution towards quality initiatives at Jojobera Thermal Power Plant.
Applauding the efforts of the teams, V V Namajoshi, chief-Jojobera Station said, “Since the very launch of the QC movement at Jojobera, we have observed several improvements brought about by total involvement in quality initiatives. We are very proud of the achievements of our teams, and greatly applaud the efforts put in by the facilitators, coordinators and team leaders. We always strive to maintain the best quality standards and hope that the improvement journey at Jojobera gets a fillip due to efforts of our Quality Circle teams.”
