Drawing conclusions

Saturday, 30 September 2017 | MC Joshi | Lucknow

Sir — This refers to the report, “Sinha’s dig arms Opp; govt says eco robust’’ (September 28). Senior BJP leader, Yashwant Sinha’s criticism of Union Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley’s economic policies has come as a godsend gift for the Opposition, which has been desperately looking for an opportunity to take on the dig on the Modi Government.

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, utilised Sinha’s rattling on the state of Indian economy well. In fact, neutral economists and economic observers have yet to say that the country’s economy is in a mess and a gross domestic product of 5.7 is as bad as is being projected by the Government’s critics. let us wait for the figures of the next quarters before drawing any conclusions.
