68 MlD capacity STP being built with ADB's help

Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh presided over a general body meeting of Uttarakhand Urban Sector Development Investment Programme at the State Secretariaton on Thursday. In the meeting it was informed that a Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP) of 68 MlD capacity is being constructed with the financial assistance from Asian Development Bank (ADB).

A total of 6.4 lakh people would be benefitted by the STP. Similarly work on laying of 126 km sewer pipeline in the city is also complete. The CS was informed about status of STP in different parts of the State. 

The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary Finance Radha Raturi, Principal Secretary Irrigation Anand Vardhan, Secretary Urban Devlopement Radhika Jha,

secretary drinking water AS Hyanki and other senior officers.
