Cong attempt to push stray cows into CM house failed

Congress party leaders and workers on Wednesday took along with them stray cows in a march towards official residence of Chief Minister Raman Singh in Raipur as a mark of protest on death of cows in shelters in the State.

The party workers were intercepted by policemen near Ghadi Chowk. later, hundreds of party workers courted arrest.

The prominent leaders who were arrested included— CGPCC President, Bhupesh Baghel, Former CGPCC President Dhanendra Sahu, Senior Congress leader and MlA, Satyanarayan Sharma, former MlA Md Akbar, District Congress President, Vikas Upadhyay, Shailesh Nitin Trivedi and Spokesperson of CGPCC, Gyanesh Sharma.
