Dialysis centres network to be extended in Haryana

Haryana Government has decided to expand the network of dialysis centres in the State so as to provide the facility of dialysis to the patients at an affordable price.

Haryana Health Minister, Anil Vij, who was replying to a question during ongoing budget session of State Assembly here , said that while dialysis centers have initially been opened in four districs of Panchkula, Gurugram, Jind and Sirsa on Public, Private Partnership (PPP) mode, such centres would also be opened  in ten more districts hospitals. These included Ambala, Bhiwani, Rewari, Panipat, Sonipat, Faridabad, Hisar, Yamunanagar, Jhajjar and Bahadurgarh.

“We will try to open the dialysis centres in all districts in the state, he added.

Vij said that the department has already signed agreements to open these centres. The patient will have to pay only  Rs 959 for each dialysis as against Rs 2000 to Rs 3000 being charged for the same in market.

He said that Civil Hospital, Panchkula had got accreditation from National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers and was awarded  "swachhta puraskar" for the second consecutive time. It has the facility of 200 beds which would also be increased. Cath labs have also been set up in four districts, he added.

 

 Sex ratio improved by 29 points

 

Health Minister Anil Vij said that sex ratio in the state has improved by 29 points from 871 girls per 1,000 boys to 900 girls per 1,000 boys since the launch of ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ scheme in December, 2014.

The Minister, while replying to a question, said that 18 districts in the State have registered considerable improvement in the sex ratio following awareness and intensive inspection campaigns conducted by the Health Department under the ‘BBBP’ programme.

 

As a result of the initiatives undertaken by the Department, sex ratio in the State had increased to 900 in 2016. Sex ratio in 12 districts has crossed the 900-mark and it ranges between 875 and 900 in six districts, he said.

Giving details, the Minister said that district Sirsa has registered sex ratio of 935 girls per 1,000 boys, Panchkula 923, Fatehabad 918, Hisar and Palwal 913, Panipat, Ambala and Mewat 912, Karnal 908, Rohtak 905, Sonepat 901 and Jind 900. Similarly, district Yamunanagar has registered sex ratio of 898 girls per 1,000 boys, Bhiwani and Faridabad 895, Kaithal 887, Jhajjar 884, Gurugram 883, Rewari 870, Kurukshetra 859 and Mahendragarh 850.

 

Only six MoUs signed at Pravasi Sammelan

 

Six MoUs have been signed between Pravasis (international and national) and Haryana Government during the Pravasi Sammelan held at Gurugram this year. While 1302 investors attended the Sammelan, 24 of them came forward with offers to work with the Government. However, only six MoUs have been signed with Pravasis that participated in the event.

In reply to another question, the State Government informed that Rs 9.30 crores was incurred by the State Government to organise Pravasi Haryan Sammelan. Free air tickets were offered by the State Government to 33 persons while expenditure for air tickets to 76 persons was met through sponsorships, said the State Government in a written reply
