Indore is first in 'Connect Youth with Police' prog

Indore will be the first district in Madhya Pradesh where the students of IIT and IIM will connect themselves with Indore police under the programme initiated by the State police headquarters to ‘Connect Youth with Police’.

The police in the first phase have selected students of IIT Indore and IIM Indore considering that they have higher mental level. The police would get innovative ideas from the students on different fields like Traffic Management, Cyber Security which includes internet fraud, data theft, cyber crime, personality imitation, hacking and child pornography, Drug Abuse which includes prevention of drug abuse among youth, Human Resource Management in police as there is a big flow of human resource in society so how police can use this human resource for the betterment of society, Stress Management in police forces, Socio Economic legislation and Awareness which includes dowry, child labour, child marriage and human trafficking.

While talking to The Pioneer Addl SP Pankaj Kumawat told, “We also feel that we would get innovative ideas in Women and Girl Child Safety that includes safety of women at work place, public place and while travelling.”  Under the project, ‘Connecting Youth with Police’ a programme of two months internship will be conducted by Madhya Pradesh police with the students.

In this project both police and the students will help each other for making the society crime free. Under the guidance of Indore DIG Harinarayanchari Mishra and supervision of SP West Indore Vivek Singh, Addl SP Indore rural Pankaj Kumawat is working on this .
