Vet docs trying hard to increase sensitivity towards animals

Human being can express their grievance but animal can’t, so veterinary doctors are making great contribution in the society while treating to the speechless animal. As the Government is dedicated to double the income of the farmers by promoting animal husbandry so there is need to be more sensitive towards animal. These views were expressed by Animal Husbandary Minister  Rekha Arya while addressing a seminar “anti microbial resistance from awareness to action’”on the occasion of world animal day here in Dehraudn on Saturday. The seminar was also addressed by State Finance Minister Prakash Pant.

IN her address she said that India is konwn as agriculture based conuntry but animal husbandry is always mode of livelihood. Althogh animal is being taken cared by women but it is very disappointing that women veterinary doctors are less in numbers which meanas their participation in veterinary is very much less.

She appealed  to the women to come into the field of women veterinary. she said that to provide medical facility to the animal State Government is going to launch moblie veterinary hospital as pilot project. The van will roam in different part of the state and will examine the animal health and will treat then and there in case they find any disease. the van will be equipped with necessary medicine and equipments as well. she would also introduce emergency medical facility for the animal shortly.

IF the pilot project become successful then she woudl introduce such veterinary mobile hopsital in each assembly constitutency. She would also establish Gau sadan (cow shelter) in each assembly constituency so that deserted and orphan animal can be rehabilitated.

On this occasion she also felicitated 13 veterinary doctors , who worked in their respective district in artificial fertilisation. He also released annual magazine of animal husbandry doctors association.

Animal husbandary secretary R Meenakshisundarm said that there is need to give emphasis on improve animal variety, artificial fertilisation and fodder area development so that farmers’ income can be increased. As you konw this is the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to bring prosperity in village through animal husbandary as well.

Other dignitaries animal husbandary director Dr SS Bisht, the association regional president Kailash Uniyal, secretary Dr Ashutosh Joshi and state wide veterinary doctors were present.
