Zebra dies at Nandankanan; only one left

Wednesday, 31 May 2017 | PNS | BHUBANESWAR

A two-and-a-half-year-old male zebra died at the Nandankanan Zoological Park on the outskirts of here on Tuesday.

With the death of the animal, the number of zebras in the zoo has reduced to just one.

Notably, three female and two male zebras had been brought to Nandankanan from Tel Aviv, Israel in September 2015. While three female zebras had died earlier, the death of the male zebra has left the zoo with a mere one now.
