With the receding monsoon bringing heavy rainfall during the day in the state capital, the weather turned pleasant and provided relief from the hot humid conditions prevailing for the past one week in the city.
Heavy downpour witnessed drenched the state capital and was followed power supply disruptions and traffic jams. The state capital recorded day temperature around 34 degree Celsius.
However, south west monsoon already withdrawn from Madhya Pradesh but just because of cyclone ‘Luban’ generated over Arabian Sea, it rained in some parts of the state including Bhopal. It is temporary phase and it will prevail for the couple of days. Bhopal recorded 9.9 mm rain on Thursday with cloudy weather from noon. In the morning, it was sunny weather but since noon, weather changed.
Agar Malwa, Alirajpur, Barwani, Betul, Bhopal, Chhindwara, Dewas, Dhar, Guna, Harda, Hoshangabad, Indore, Jhabua, Khanda, Khargone, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Raisen, Rajgarh, Ratlam, Sehore, Seoni, Shajapur, Ujjain and Vidisha districts received rainfall and thundery winds.
In the next 2-3 days isolated rain or thundershower activity are expected to occur over south western parts of the state as these regions will be experiencing rains due to trough passing from Southeast Arabian Sea to North Maharashtra Coast.
