The 40th NTPC Junior National Archery Contest concluded on Thursday at the City State Sports Complex. The medal winners were felicitated by Minister of Public Relations PC Sharma.
He encouraged the players to play diligently and said that play a lot, go ahead and illuminate the name of the country. They congratulated the players and congratulated them.
On this occasion, Director Sports and Youth Welfare, S.L. Thoussen apprised the public relations minister of departmental achievements. Prior to this he welcomed Minister of Public Relations, P.C. Sharma On this occasion, BVP, President, Indian Archery Association Rao, Secretary, Mahasingh and Treasurer of Indian Archery Association, D.K. Student, Assistant Secretary, Ganujan Eraval, M. Vinod Kumar, Vice President, Madhya Pradesh Archery Association, Mr. Joint Director Khalid Dawn Other officers including Vinod Pradhan were present.
In the individual competition of recurve round event played on the last day of the competition, SSCB player Gora Ho won gold, plyer Rajat won a silver medaland Maharashtra's Yashadeep Bhoge earned bronze medals. In the qualification round of the Recurve event, player of Maharashtra won a gold medal, Paras Hooda Rajat of Haryana won a silver medal and Jagdish Chaudhary of Rajasthan won a bronze medal.
In the same competition, girl category Karmalika Bari of Jharkhand won a gold medal, Sukhpreet Kaur of Punjab won a silver and Jharkhand's Ankita Bhagat got bronze.
Similarly, in the recurve team event of the competition, Maharashtra's team bagged first position, Assam team stood second and Haryana team got third position. In the girls' recurve team event, Haryana first, Jharkhand was second and Punjab team was in third place. In the recurve mix team event, West Bengal team won the first, Haryana second and Jharkhand's team got third place.
