A blood donation camp was held at the Kshyama Meher Degree College at Tukla village of Nuapada district by ‘Sambad’ in association of the college on Friday. It was organised with the help of a team of technicians and doctors from Government hospitals of Tukla, Khariar and Nuapada.
A total of 26 volunteers donated blood. Dr Mahendra Kumar Majhi of Khariar PHC, Dr Madhulika Pattnaik and Ayush Doctor, Tukla CHC collected the blood.
A meeting was held at the initiation to highlight the importance of .blood donation in saving lives of people in need like accident victims, pregnant women suffering from anemia, etc. College Principal Umakant Pradhan, Dr Tarun Pradhan of Khariar Autonomous College, Abhisek Jagat, Md.Sahil, Chandan Sahu and other members of the Biju Yuba Bahini encouraged the students for donating blood.
