BSP CEO opens Inter Alumni Tennis Ball Tournament

The Inter Alumni Tennis Ball Tournament for CEO Trophy 2018-19 was inaugurated on Tuesday by Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) CEO AK Rath, a company press release informed.

People for Animaks or PFA (Durg Bhilai  unit 2), an organization of young boys and girls that works for Environment Preservation and Animal Welfare presented a dance drama performance to spread the message of peaceful  coexistence with all other life forms. They were appreciated and honoured by the BSP CEO, it stated.

After a brief  introduction with the 21 teams participating this year, the CEO  declared the tournament open.

This was followed by the inaugural match. In the inaugural match, CA/ICWAI XI took on MACTOSA Bhopal. Electing to bat after winning the toss, CA/ICWAI XI reached a big score of 171 for the loss of a single wicket with Alankar scoring 116 runs not out.

In reply MACTOSA could only score 89/8 in the allocated 15 overs. Distant top scored with 24 runs and Pratish Jagtap bagged 4 wickets. Alankar was declared as the Man of the Match for his brilliant century.
