Cong urges Governor to take action in lynching case

Three days after a man - Tabrez Ansari was allegedly lynched on suspicion of theft near Jamshedpur, members of Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee led by Congress leader, Alamgir Alam met Governor, Draupadi Murmu here on Tuesday.

Drawing the attention to the recent case of lynching, Alam said, “It was a very tragic incident, in which a man belonging to a minority community was beaten to death. This is a sad reality and a matter of shame for the state.”

The congress representatives have demanded a job for the wife of the deceased along with a compensation of Rs 25 Lakh. The delegation urged the Governor to take against the accused in the fast track court or else they would go to the Supreme Court.
