Wednesday, 26 June 2019 | PNS | Dehradun

The issue of armed robbery in which the miscreants looted a petrol pump owner after shooting him on Monday night was raised strongly by members of opposition on second day of the special session of Vidhan Sabha on Tuesday. The opposition members were up on their feet blaming the state government for deteriorating law and order situation as soon as the proceedings started for the day. The leader of the opposition, Indira Hridayesh demanded that the issue is of utmost importance so the house should suspend all other business and hold discussion under rule 310. She claimed that the law and order situation in the state has reached its lowest point. Senior Congress leader Pritam Singh said that it is very disturbing that the daring robbery has occurred in the state capital and the petrol pump owner is battling for his life. The speaker Prem Chand Agarwal asked the members to let the question hour function and ruled that the issue would be taken in under rule 58.
