EC stops screening of rSS-sponsored Bhagwa Atankwaad

An RSS affiliate wing screened a short film ‘Bhagwa Atankwaad– Bhramjaal’ which was allegedly stopped by the Election Commission midway through on Monday.

Chief Electoral Officer of Madhya Pradesh VL Kantha Rao expressed ignorance about any such order from CEO office. The organisers however furnished an order from Assistant Returning Officer Madhya Bhopal against the screening.

The screening of the short movie –‘Bhagwa Atankawad Ek Bhramjal’ was staged by volunteer organisation Bharat Vichar Manch in Bhopal on Monday. The short film was screened midway through and former RAW officer RSN Singh was having a discussion with the media, the screening was stopped on the directives of EC.

The police personnel also stopped the press briefing. The movie is however already available on Youtube. The short film deals with the issue of ‘saffron terrorism’ and comprises statements of three political personalities – Sushil Shinde, P Chidambaram and Digvijay Singh, on saffron terrorism and the RSS.

The short film conveys a message that Malegaon and Samjhahuta blasts were a conspiracy to malign the image of Hindus. The movie also quotes findings of the National Investigation Agency. Bharat Vichar Manch had on Sunday oraganised a symposium on internal security in the city.

The organisers of the event claimed that the programme wasn’t linked with the elections but was an attempt to establish the truth.

Former RAW director, RSN Singh told the media that it was all (conspiracy) was hatched at the behest of one foreign lady. “The saffron terror was coined in a well-planned conspiracy in Delhi’s Lutyens’. He also backed the Pragya Thakur’s decision of foraying into politics.
