Moving car catches fire in city

The driver and occupants of a car had a close shave when a moving car caught fire in the Jaydev Vihar area in the city on Sunday afternoon.

Reports said that the driver noticed the fire in the bonnet and stopped the car without any delay. Soon after, all the occupants got down from the car immediately.

Later, some locals with the help of Fire Services personnel rushed to the spot and doused the flame.

The occupants of the car, all natives of Jagatsinghpur district, were safe.

Though the cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained it was suspected that it started from a short circuit.
