The betting nexus has transactions over Rs 500 crore which has overseas links and use of high technology for betting has been revealed in the raids conducted across the State Capital in which Rs 1.17 crores cash was seized from 10 people.
High level betting nexus was unearthed in the evening on Saturday in which 10 persons were nabbed and around Rs 1.17 crores cash and electronic devices used for placing bets and maintaining betting records.
The ten people involved in the high tech betting nexus were nabbed during raids by Shahjehanabad, Kolar, Habibganj and Ahsoka Garden police.
Websites were used by creating ‘Master’ and ‘Super Master’ login IDs. These login IDs were used on websites live365.com and krishnaexchange.com.
The police have recovered 17 mobile phones and five computer systems.
The nabbed accused are traders and run renowned businesses across the state capital but still their involvement in betting nexus had provided police to keep close eye on traders and others would be questioned said police.
Among the ten nabbed persons main accused was identified as Chetan Wadhwani who used to provide line for betting and he runs a garment shop in Bairagarh along with other accused Santosh Wadhwani.
Naresh Hemanani, Manoharlal Talreja, Bharat Soni, Sanjeet Singh Chawla, Jayprakash Mandhani, Gaurav Rathi and Kanwaljeet Singh were among the accused and Rs 56.56 lakh, Rs 2.39 lakh, Rs 11 lakh, Rs 20.22 lakh, Rs 11 lakh, Rs 5.8 lakh, Rs 9 lakh and Rs 7 lakh cash from their possession respectively.
