The Vigilance police on Monday raided multiple places in connection with allegation against three officials for possession of assets disproportionate to their known sources of income.
Vigilance officials conducted raids at the residence of Kalahandi district’s Junagarh Forest Ranger Laxman Sabar, his parental house in Koksara and in-laws’ house at Tunaga.
Similarly, simultaneous raids were carried out by Vigilance officials at the parental house of Cesu Junior Engineer, Jagatsinghpur, Dipti Prakash Swain at Bisipatala, his house at Gopal Sagar and in-laws’ house and Cesu office. Bank passbooks, other documents, gold ornaments and cash were seized during the raids.
Besides, Raighar Block Junior Engineer Niranjan Jena’s houses in Jajpur, Bhubaneswar and Umarkote were raided by Vigilance teams.
Till last reports came in, the raids were underway.
