Admn warns of action for roaming near TMCs

Thursday, 30 April 2020 | PNS | BRAHMAPUR

In a bid to prevent crowding near the Temporary Medical Centres (TMCs) to maintain social distancing, the Ganjam district administration on Wednesday warned people not to loiter near those facilities.

District Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange said stringent action would be taken against those who violate the rule and roam near the quarantine centres.

The TMCs have been set up at the gram panchayats and NACs across the district, where migrants returning from other States would have to undergo a mandatory quarantine for 14 days, Kulange said.

Notably, around 400 migrant workers have already left for the district from Surat in a number of buses and are expected to reach the district in couple of days.
