Covid-19 tally reaches 50 in Garhwa

With three more persons testing positive for Coronavirus on Monday, taking the tally of confirmed cases to 50 in Garhwa district. While 21 patients have recovered, there are 29active cases.

The three new cases include a 32-year-old man and 24 years old youth from Korwadih village of Garhwa block, and a 35-year-old man from Jargarh village of the district. The youth returned from Surat and two others returned from Maharashtra.

All 23 Covid-19 patients of Garhwa  district, including the new three, have been admitted to the Covid-19 hospita, Meral.

“They are all undergoing treatment at Covid-19 hospital,” district civil surgeon N K Rajak told .

As many as 21 of the 50 Covid-19 patients of the district discharged from the Covid-19 Hospital, Meral on Monday after full recovery, Rajak informed. Rajak said till May 24, 1714 samples had been sent to the RIMS for the Covid-19 tests. Of them 50 tested positive, 1379 tested negative and the results of the remaining 385 are awaited.
