Hard workers finally rewarded with deserving posts

The Chhattisgarh government on Thursday named Chairman, Vice Chairman and members of different Commissions, Corporations and Boards in the second in a series of appointments after 18 months of Congress rule in the state.

According to the official list, Basna MLA Devendra Bahadur Singh will be Chairman of the Chhattisgarh State Forest Development Corporation and Raipur City North MLA Kuldeep Juneja Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Housing Board.

Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CPCC) General Secretary (Office and Administration) Girish Dewangan has been named Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Mineral Development Corporation Ltd (CMDC). CPCC Chairman (Communication Department) Shailesh Nitin Trivedi has been appointed Chairman of the Chhattisgarh State Text Book Corporation. Subash Dhuppad will be Chairman of the Raipur Development Authority.

Karuna Shukla is the Chairperson of the Chhattisgarh State Social Welfare Board, former Raipur Mayor Kiranmayee Nayak will be Chairperson of the Chhattisgarh State Commission for Women, Rajendra Tiwari becomes Chairman of the Chhattisgarh State Khadi and Gramodyog Board, Surendra Sharma has been named Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Farmers’ Welfare Council and Balkrishna Pathak is Chairman of the Chhattisgarh State Medicinal Plants Board.

Other appointments include Shafi Ahmed (Chairman, Chhattisgarh Labour Welfare Board), Gurpreet Bambra (Chairman, Chhattisgarh Food Commission), Mahant Shri Ram Sundar Das (Chairman, Chhattisgarh Gau-Sewa Commission), Baijnath Chandrakar (Chairman, Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Bank Ltd (APEX Bank), Thaneshwar Sahu (Chairman, Chhattisgarh State OBC Commission), Durg MLA Arun Vora (Chhattisgarh State Warehouse Corporation), Dhanesh Patila (Chairman, Chhattisgarh State Antyavasai Sahakari Vitta Evam Vikas Nigam Ltd., Chandan Kashyap (Chairman, Chhattisgarh State Handicrafts Development Board), M.R. Nishad (Chairman, Chhattisgarh State Fishermen’s Welfare Board) and Mithilesh Swarnakar (Chairman, Chhattisgarh State Renewable Energy Development Authority.

Similarly, Mahesh Sharma and Satish Agrawal have been appointed members of the Chhattisgarh State Building and Other Constructions Workers Welfare Board, Nitin Sinha is member of the Chhattisgarh State Test Book Corporation, Padma Manhar (Member, Chhattisgarh State Scheduled Caste Commission), Mahesh Chandrawansi (Member, Chhattisgarh OBC Commission), Nitin Potai (Member, Chhattisgarh Scheduled Tribe Commission) and Kalpana Singh will be Member of the Chhattisgarh State Social Welfare Board.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has accommodated six women members, 5              representatives from Scheduled Tribe, two Schedule Caste members, three minorities, eight OBCs and 14 from the general      category. Those feeling left out will have to wait for the next round of appointments.
