Former Nabarangpur MP and PCC working president Pradeep Majhi on Monday told reporters here that the Central and State Governments have adopted the technique of low testing for Covid-19 while the testing capacity needs to be increased urgently.
He emphasised on more testing because the earlier the virus is detected, the easier it is to curb the chances of its transmission and provide timely treatment.
Majhi further said Nabarangpur is now a green zone; but after the inflow of migrant labourers to the district, there is every possibility of many Covid patients’ presence here. The number of quarantine centres in the district is not sufficient to meet the rush of migrants.
