As a part of “Seva Saptah” (service week from September 14 to 20) celebrated country wide by the party on the eve of 70th birthday of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP’s Ganjam unit organised a plethora of social welfare programmes across the district to mark the event with great enthusiasm, said former district president of the party and senior leader Kanhu Charan Pati here.
On the last day of the “Seva Saptah”, the San Bazar Mandal of the party organised a massive tree plantation camp in the premises of “Brahmapur Jateeya Sangeet Kala Kendra”.
Hundreds of plants of various species and medicinal values were planted by the party workers praying a healthy and long life of the Prime Minister.The plantation programme was undertaken under the coordination of the San Bazar Mandal BJP president Saroj Patra.
Among others, Prabhat K Sadangi, N Rajendra Kumar, Subhasini Pattnaik, Srinivas Subudhi, Pranay Mahapatra, Kumar Purohit, Arun Panigrahi, Suman Satapathy, S Srinivas, Binayak Rath, Ram Babu Subudhi, Rajesh Kumar Senapati, T Sabat, Prabir Patra, Kiran Mohanty, Murali Rao and hundreds of youth leaders of the party joined.
Addressing the workers, Pati said that such welfare and people-friendly works will be carried out by the party in the coming days.
