Rs 10-cr ganja plants destroyed

The Gajapati district administration led by Collector Anupam Saha and Superintendent of Police Tapan Kumar Patnaik has been carrying out a massive drive against illegal ganja cultivation.

In such a drive, police, revenue, forest and excise officials conducted a joint raid in Bom village under Guba gram panchayat in the district and destroyed more than one lakh ganja tress in an area of 52 acre, worth Rs 10 crore. Later, the trees were set on fire.
