nChhattisgarh Director General of Police (DGP) D.M. Awasthi on Wednesday interacted with lower rung colleagues via video call and ordered instant action to redress their grievances.
This was part of ‘Spandan’ programme aimed at decreasing the stress level in the police force, an official press release said. Constable Hemlata Sahu posted in Balrampur told the DGP that her child was weak since birth and her mother-in-law was paralyzed. Her husband was posted in Sankari Bilaspur and it was becoming tough to balance professional and personal life.
Awasthi immediately ordered the transfer of Hemlata from Balrampur to Bilaspur and told Hemlata to start packing as her transfer orders will be reaching shortly. "The Constable gave tearful thanks to the DGP," the press release said.
Akhilesh Yadav in Bastar’s Pakhnar camp told the DGP that his child had recently died due to which his wife was continuously in depression.
Agreeing that Akhilesh Yadav needed to be with his wife, the DGP immediately called Rajnandgaon Battalion Commandant Sarju Ram Salam and asked him to have Yadav shifted from Bastar to Rajnandgaon.
